A Grade II listed building in the Queen Anne baroque style with Flemish bond and red brick, the ornate gardens and elegant interiors have remained largely unchanged since the 1700s. He assisted Verrio with paintings at Windsor Castle and Blenheim Palace, before embarking on his own illustrious career in 1687. Aside from Fetcham Park House, Laguerre&#8217;s murals can also be seen adorning the walls of Marlborough House, Chatsworth, Petworth and Blenheim, mainly depicting English victories against King Louis XIV.<\/p>\n<p>There are <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fetchampark.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/Fetcham-Park-A-Short-History1.pdf\">five wall and ceiling murals <\/a>painted in oil and plaster, and seven decorative panels painted in oil on wood by Laguerre.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-438 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/www.charlotteigguldenart.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/Fetcham_Park_House_painting-cherub_web-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.charlotteigguldenart.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/Fetcham_Park_House_painting-cherub_web-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/www.charlotteigguldenart.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/Fetcham_Park_House_painting-cherub_web-768x1024.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.charlotteigguldenart.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/Fetcham_Park_House_painting-cherub_web.jpg 900w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 225px) 85vw, 225px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The gardens are another delight at Fetcham Park House, having been designed by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nationaltrust.org.uk\/features\/george-london-designer-of-dreams\">George London<\/a>.
